68th Annual Kiwanis Pancake Day Returns with a Side of Community Spirit

Published

on

Mark your calendars for a delicious tradition: the 68th Annual Kiwanis Pancake Day is set for Saturday, December 7, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. This longstanding community event brings friends and neighbors together for a hearty breakfast while supporting local youth programs and initiatives.

Held at the Warren County High School, the event features all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage for just $9. This cherished fundraiser supports projects like scholarships for high school seniors, playground installations, and literacy incentives like book vending machines in local schools.

Dr. Craig Zunka, a longtime Kiwanian, shared his early memories of Pancake Day, recalling the community’s dedication to this event over decades. “I grew up with Pancake Day,” he said. “It’s always been about bringing people together for a good cause.”

Attendees can expect a welcoming atmosphere with ample seating and parking, making it a perfect outing for families. In addition to breakfast, the Kiwanis Club encourages locals to stick around for the annual Front Royal Christmas Parade later that afternoon, continuing the festivities.

For those unable to attend, Pancake Day tickets can still be purchased as a donation to support the club’s impactful programs. “Every dollar goes back into the community,” said Zunka, emphasizing the importance of this fundraiser for the club’s work with youth-focused projects like the Key Club, K-Kids, and the Builders Club.

Whether you’re a longtime attendee or a first-timer, Pancake Day is a tradition not to miss. Bring your appetite, catch up with friends, and know you’re making a difference in the community.
