Ingredients

Servings: 16

  • 1 ½ cups sugar

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • ⅔ cup cocoa powder

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 cup small chocolate eggs with a candy shell (such as Cadbury Mini Eggs)

  • ¾ teaspoon sea salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup canola oil or extra-virgin olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line a square baking dish with lightly greased parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, chocolate eggs, and sea salt.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, water, and vanilla extract.

  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.

  6. Bake for 40 to 48 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Serve and enjoy a colorful, chocolate-filled Easter treat!
