CSM Aesthetics Celebrates Growth With Front Royal Ribbon Cutting

CSM Aesthetics marked a new chapter in Front Royal with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating its expanded location and a partnership that brings aesthetics, health, strength, and wellness services together under one roof.

Founder and medical director Jamie Marshall, FNP-BC, and registered nurse Heather Clatterbuck welcomed community members to the celebration along with Ashley Mumaw, PT, DPT, founder of Blue Ridge Strength & Wellness, which now operates from the same location.

Front Royal Mayor Lori Cockrell and Tina Tolliver of Tolliver Studios, representing the Front Royal-Warren County Chamber of Commerce, took part in the ceremony.

Cockrell said she had watched the business develop and was pleased to see another local operation investing in Front Royal.

“Thank you for investing in us and bringing services to our community that are needed,” Cockrell said.

Tolliver congratulated the team on behalf of the Chamber, noting the progress CSM Aesthetics has made since opening about three years ago.

“As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, we would like to welcome you, and we’re very proud of you,” Tolliver said. “Congratulations on all you’ve accomplished.”

For Marshall, the occasion was also an opportunity to recognize the people who have supported the business from the beginning.

“I just want to thank the community and the Chamber because if it weren’t for this town, we wouldn’t be where we are today,” she said. “Truly and honestly, the thanks goes to our community.”

CSM Aesthetics opened in 2023 and has since grown from what Marshall described as a one-person operation in a “teeny tiny little space” into a larger practice with an expanded range of services.

“At CSM Aesthetics, we do everything aesthetic, health and beauty,” Marshall said after the ceremony. “Our whole goal is to just make women and men feel better about themselves. So we try to keep everything natural.”

The practice offers services including injectables, neurotoxins, fillers, and weight-loss care. With Blue Ridge Strength & Wellness operating from the location, clients also have access to services centered on strength, mobility and functional wellness.

“We just try to look at everybody as a whole,” Marshall said.

Marshall brings nearly two decades of healthcare experience to the practice. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Shepherd University in 2006 and worked in bedside nursing, including post-operative recovery and radiology. She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University in 2016 and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2021.

After beginning her nurse practitioner career in neurosurgery, Marshall pursued her interest in aesthetics and opened CSM Aesthetics. Her approach focuses on enhancing a client’s natural appearance while helping people feel more comfortable and confident.

Clatterbuck brings another nursing perspective to the practice. A registered nurse for 12 years, she has spent much of her career in labor and delivery and has also served as a nursing coordinator and charge nurse.

Her interest in aesthetics developed after she became a client herself and began learning more about the science behind the treatments. With an interest in anatomy and physiology as well as the creative side of the work, she eventually moved into aesthetic injecting.

Marshall and Clatterbuck now work as a team at CSM Aesthetics, while Mumaw’s physical therapy background adds a different approach to health and wellness.

Mumaw earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2011 and has more than 15 years of experience. She began her career at Winchester Medical Center, working in acute care and serving as lead therapist for critical care units.

There, she worked with patients recovering from cardiac surgery, traumatic injuries, strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, and other complex medical conditions. Those experiences helped shape her belief in the importance of maintaining strength, balance, and mobility throughout life.

Mumaw also works as a physical therapist with Warren County Public Schools, helping children with disabilities access and participate in their educational environment.

She created Blue Ridge Strength & Wellness to help adults take a more proactive approach to their physical health through individualized strength coaching, movement assessment and exercise.

“My background’s in physical therapy, but I look more at the functional mobility and wellness aspect of it, so bringing health and wellness together,” Mumaw said.

The arrangement with CSM Aesthetics gave Mumaw a home for the new venture while allowing the businesses to offer complementary services.

“Jamie and CSM have opened the doors for Blue Ridge Strength and Wellness, so I have a location,” Mumaw said during the ceremony.

Marshall said the addition was a natural fit.

“Ashley is the owner and operator at Blue Ridge Strength and Wellness, so it ties into what we do,” she said. “She operates out of our building as well. She’s part of our team now, and we love having her here.”

The businesses also hope to use the expanded location to continue their involvement with the community. CSM Aesthetics previously partnered with Reaching Out Now for a “Tox-a-Thon” fundraiser. Marshall said another event is planned later this year, with proceeds benefiting a local organization.

Looking around at the crowd gathered for the ribbon-cutting, Marshall said the new location reminded her of how much has changed since she first opened CSM Aesthetics.

“We started out as a one-person, one teeny tiny little space, and we’ve grown into this,” she said.

Marshall said the goal now is to build on that progress while maintaining the local relationships that helped the business get started.

“For the future, we just hope to grow and continue to hopefully make connections with the community,” she said.
