The Leapfrog Top Hospital award considers various performance measures, including infection prevention, surgical safety, maternity care, and medication error reduction. To qualify, hospitals must excel in the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, which sets benchmarks for the highest quality standards.

Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group, commended Fauquier Health: “Protecting patients from preventable harm is central to Leapfrog’s mission. Fauquier Health’s achievement as a Top Hospital reflects the exceptional efforts of its entire team and sets a national standard for patient safety.”

This recognition builds on Fauquier Health’s legacy of quality care. The hospital is also accredited by The Joint Commission and recognized as a Certified Primary Stroke Center, a Center of Excellence for Joint Replacement, and an Accredited Chest Pain Center.
