Literacy Night at Warren County Middle School
On Thursday evening, September 26th, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, Warren County Middle School will be having a Literacy Night. All of the WCMS students and their families have been invited to join in a night of celebrating reading!
Every student will have an opportunity to win a book with the raffle happening throughout the event. A book swap will be taking place as well, where students can bring in their gently used books that they have already read and swap them out for titles they haven’t yet enjoyed. Student work will be on display in the hallways, along with available information about Warren County Middle School’s 40 Book Challenge. Snacks will also be available, based on our One School, One Book project this year. Everyone in WCMS is reading The Benefits of Being An Octopus, and students are excited to talk about what has been read so far! Finally, a book fair will be set up in the library for families to buy new books as well.
Thank you to Samuels Public Library for donating five boxes of books for our book swap! Our goal is for every student to leave Literacy Night with a book.
