Virginia State Police Investigating Fatal I-66 Crash in Warren County
Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday evening, September 16, on Interstate 66 near mile marker 6, close to the Front Royal entrance and exit. The crash, which involved two vehicles, resulted in the death of a 44-year-old man from Woodstock, Virginia.
The crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. when a 2014 Kia Forte, traveling westbound, rear-ended a 1995 Ford dump truck accelerating from the nearby entrance ramp. The driver of the Kia, identified as John K. Barb, died at the scene. According to police, Barb was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the Ford, a 65-year-old man from Bunker Hill, West Virginia, was unharmed and was wearing a seatbelt.
