Shenandoah Shores Management Group Brings Holiday Cheer with ‘Light Fight’ Tours

Published

The holiday season in Warren County is about to get brighter, thanks to Shenandoah Shores Management Group (SSMG) and its CEO, Dedrick Brooks. Known for its sleek fleet of vehicles and diverse transportation services, SSMG is adding a festive twist with guided holiday light tours starting December 13.

Inspired by Lori Oaks’ annual “Light Fight” competition, these tours offer a stress-free way to explore the community’s dazzling holiday displays. Last year, the competition showcased 38 homes and 11 businesses decked out in festive lights. The event was so popular that tickets for similar trolley tours sold out in under an hour.

Dedrick Brooks saw an opportunity to expand the experience. “We want families, friends, and groups to enjoy the lights without worrying about directions or parking. We’ll take care of everything so they can focus on the season’s magic,” Brooks said.

Festive Features for All Ages

The 90-minute tours promise something special for everyone. Kids will enjoy cookies from Down Home Bakery, hot cocoa, and a chance to write letters to Santa. Adults can indulge in “enhanced hot cocoa” during later time slots. To keep the spirit of giving alive, participants who bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots will receive a $5 discount on their ticket.

“Being a retired Marine, Toys for Tots is close to my heart,” Brooks shared. “This is a chance to spread holiday cheer and help families in need.”

The tours, running through January 4, offer three-time slots:

  • 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Family-friendly
  • 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM: For families and older kids
  • 9:30 PM – 11:00 PM: Adult-focused

Comfortable, Stylish Rides

Participants can choose from SSMG’s luxurious fleet, including an 11-passenger Mercedes Sprinter van, a Cadillac Escalade for six passengers, and a Chevy Traverse for groups of five. Along the route, stops for photos will be included, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in the holiday spirit.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for kids, with discounts for bringing a toy donation. Groups such as youth teams, church groups, and even corporate outings are welcome to book private tours.

Giving Back and Looking Ahead

SSMG is also giving away a discounted spring wine tour to those who share their Light Tour posts or purchase tickets. “This is about bringing joy to our community and giving people an unforgettable holiday experience,” Brooks said.

With every detail covered and plenty of holiday cheer to go around, these light tours promise to make the season bright for residents and visitors alike.
