Don’t Miss This! – Say Cheese! Warren Coalition Serves Up Second Annual Fundraiser

Published

on

Warren Coalition is inviting the community to bring an appetite, a sense of humor, and maybe a few dance moves to its second annual Let’s Get Cheesy fundraiser on Friday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m.

The adults-only evening will be held at North Warren Celebration Hall, located at the North Warren Fire Station at 266 Rockland Road. The event promises food, laughter, music, games, and a chance to support programs that help children and families across Warren County.

Guests will begin the evening with an extensive charcuterie table featuring cheese from Happy Creek Cheeses and Dusty’s Country Store. Brie and apple appetizers will also be served, along with meatball sliders from On Cue Sports Bar and Grill. The dinner menu will continue with lasagna soup from On Cue, Caesar salad, chicken Florentine, and seafood au gratin.

Dessert will offer plenty of sweet choices, including cannolis from Garcia and Gavino, ice cream from C & C Frozen Treats, Oreo cheesecake truffles, carrot cake cookies, and brownies. For guests who cannot eat cheese or would rather skip it, non-cheese options will also be available, including selections from the charcuterie table, meatballs, chicken, salad, and brownies.

The fundraiser is designed to be more than a dinner. Guests can enjoy a photo booth from In the Moment Photo Booth, music filled with familiar “cheesy” dance favorites, and entertainment from M.C. Pam Foster. The evening will also include jokes, optional games, a 50/50 raffle, and a “Bountiful Baskets” silent auction.

Tickets are $75 per person or $140 per couple. More information and ticket purchases are available at warrencoalition.org/cheesy. Those who prefer to pay by cash or check may email celeste@warrencoalition.org.

Proceeds from Let’s Get Cheesy will support several Warren Coalition children’s programs. These include Project COURAGE, which offers hope and support for children who have experienced trauma; DEALS Hope, which includes drug education classes offered by Warren Coalition in Warren County; and HALO Read, the local affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Warren County.

The event is made possible through the support of local sponsors. Sysco Northeast Redistribution Center is serving as the Big Cheese sponsor. Cheddar Sponsors include Jen Avery and Warren County Veterinary Clinic. Holly Goode is the Sweet Sponsor. Gouda Sponsors include Bill Powers with State Farm Insurance, True Value Ramsey Hardware, Apple House, and the Kiwanis Club of Front Royal.

Warren Coalition has served the community since 1994, when it was created to help fill gaps in health care and substance abuse awareness. The organization began as an outreach project under the guidance of Warren Memorial Hospital and was incorporated in 2001. Today, its office is located in the Warren County Community Center.

The nonprofit’s mission is to help make Warren County a safe, healthy, and drug-free community. It works with more than 15 member agencies and offers programs that support youth, families, and the broader community.

With dinner, desserts, dancing, raffles, and plenty of cheese-themed fun, Let’s Get Cheesy offers residents a lighthearted way to help fund serious work for local children.
