Gary Howard Robinson (1953 – 2024)

Gary Howard Robinson, 71, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Elder Gary Utz officiating.  Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Robinson was born on December 24, 1953, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, to the late H.E. “Happy” and Grace Donaldson Robinson.  He was also preceded in death by his half-brother, Nelson Robinson.  He retired from Southern States in Front Royal and was of Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Diane N. Robinson; two sons, Thomas H. Robinson (Meghan) and Justin E. Robinson; sister, Judith Shade; brother, Ted Robinson (Betsy); three grandchildren, Russell, Madilyn, and Nathan; and numerous other extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Dan Shade, Ben Shade, Matthew Nicewarner, Phillip Nicewarner, Bill Duncan and Doug Rishel.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family for a trust they establish for his grandchildren.
