Meet Shae Parker – independent candidate for North River Supervisor

Shae Parker, independent candidate for North River Supervisor.
Meet Shae Parker. He is the independent candidate for the Warren County Board of Supervisors serving the North River district.
Shae has been part of this community for 40 years, working tirelessly to make it a better place. He grew up here, started a business here, started his family here, and is raising his children here. He has been a member of local government on the Front Royal Town Council and served as Vice-Mayor. He is a musician, an artist, an advocate, and the person many feel is what Warren County needs on the Board of Supervisors during this difficult time for our community.
In 2008, Parker started his political career by seeking a seat on the Front Royal Town Council. He lost the election but was later appointed by the Council to serve out the remainder of a term when Councilman Tewalt won the election to Mayor.
During his term on council, Parker learned how to say no to a tax increase. He said, “The tax was not for a specific project rather a, ‘the Town might need some extra money just in case.’ I was not in favor of increased taxes, especially a ‘what if we need it’ tax, and he did this without even casting a vote. (If your interested in how he did this, ask him at one of his meet and greet events.)
Parker did win the second election and served on the Town Council for a four year term. He is active working with with a national non-partisan, not-for-profit organization registering voters at music festivals and concerts and as an Officer of Election during primaries and elections with the Warren County Registrar’s Office.
From time to time you will find him playing his guitar and singing in the band “River Driven” or on occasion lending his voice on the local radio station.
If you’re not registered to vote, please do so. The election is November 5th.
