Outside seating was popular at downtown restaurants, as here at Soul Mountain Café …

… right next to which Main St. Pawn proprietor Ralph Waller, along with Duane Vaughan were caught holding court with two town council candidates, Bruce Rappaport, left, and Darryl Merchant.

Five doors down Chester St. several campaign signs were displayed in front of David Downes law office, next to which Downes’ Virginia Beer Museum was hosting a Town candidates’ appearance at Downes’ ‘Beer Party’ Saturday afternoon Fish Fry. Below, council candidate Josh Ingram, left, takes advantage of the invite.

As did Rappaport, pictured here at Biergarten fence/parking area doorway to the building that once housed his family’s The Boston Store.

Above, Union re-enactors from the 2nd Wisconsin unit make a flanking maneuver on the Va. Beer Museum’s ‘Helltown Saloon’ to celebrate an annual victory at the Cedar Creek battleground in Frederick County earlier on Saturday. Below, the Wisconsin 2nd surrounds Front Royal’s Confederate Museum Curator ‘Dewey’ Vaughan. Happily, a truce was reached over a beer and some fried fish.

By Sunday the Va. Beer Museum’s fried fish was gone and two hungry dogs were on point for a taste of Redz Downes’s steak.

Having survived the 2nd Wisconsin negotiations, Vaughan re-formed a perimeter at Chester and East Main with Rappaport and Merchant, the latter who may be pointing to …

… or Famous Last Word’s Marie Price and Jon France entertaining at the Gazebo Sunday afternoon.

And for those with difficulty walking or transporting materials at the East Main St. Labor Day weekend walking mall, we caught White Picket Fence/Key Move Properties Sue and Chris Laurence offering some mobile assistance, by way of a cart donation from the Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club.
