SHS Environmental Science, Ecology, and Green Team’s Action Project continues to help raise awareness about plastic pollution
Thanks to Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, Walmart, Front Royal/Warren County Anti-litter Council, community participants, Samuels Public Library, and most recently Warren County Education Endowment, as the SHS Environmental Science, Ecology, and Green Team is able to complete the Buy One/Give One Action Project, which they began in January, to help raise awareness of our plastic pollution problem in the waterways. To do this, they are giving an organic, reusable, fair trade bag, and a true storybook about an animal who has survived an encounter with our pollution, to each Kindergarten student in Warren County.
The team will be traveling to each of the Warren County elementary schools to share with the kindergartners about their action project, read a story book, teach a song which they wrote for this purpose (to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star), and give the gifts.
