Thomas Eugene Meiskey (1939 – 2025)

Thomas Eugene Meiskey, 86, of Linden, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Lavender Hills of Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main St., Front Royal, Virginia, with Sammy Campbell officiating. A visitation will take place one hour before the service.

Thomas was born on April 21, 1939, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, to the late Austin E. and Catherine Von Neida Meiskey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Suzanne Meiskey, and his brother, Warren A. Meiskey.  Thomas lived a life centered around family, friendship, and simple joys. He had a great passion for photography. He treasured time spent with family and friends, and he shared a special bond with his pet cats, who brought him comfort and companionship.  He was a kind, warm-hearted man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a love for Hershey bars—a fitting favorite for someone born in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Whether he was indulging in his favorite treats, spending quiet time with loved ones, or simply enjoying the company of his pets, Thomas’s gentle spirit and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his two sons, Maurice Meiskey and Kirk Meiskey Sr., and wife Renee Meiskey; three grandchildren, Kirk Meiskey Jr., Marlisa Meiskey, and Kristy Waldner; five great-grandchildren; three nieces, two nephews, and numerous cousins.
