Virginia Cooperative Extension offers ”Coping with a Money Crunch” webinar

WHAT MATTERS Warren–In this video, meet Karen Poff, MPA, AFC®, Senior Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences of the Virginia Cooperative Extension. She’ll explain their ongoing program, ”Coping with a Money Crunch” webinar that offers residents of the Northern Shenandoah Valley information and tools to help them handle the personal finance stresses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. People can participate using Zoom or calling in from either a mobile or landline phone. The seminar covers the following money C.R.U.N.C.H topics:

  • Consider Immediate Options
  • Revise or Create a Spending Plan (Budget)
  • Use All Available Resources
  • Narrow Your Priorities
  • Contact Your Creditors
  • Heed Scam Warnings

Upcoming Webinar Dates for June:

  • Friday, June 12th from 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 16th from 2-4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 20th from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, June 24th from 9-11:00 a.m.
  • Monday, June 29th from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

The NSV Cooperative Extension also offers many ways to get involved as a volunteer or a sponsor to help others afford to take advantage of programs (for as little as a $15 donation, you can sponsor a citizen to engage in a 6 lesson financial planning course).
