Waterline Upgrades Set for N. Royal Avenue Starting May 27

Published

on

Drivers in Front Royal can expect changes to traffic patterns this summer as waterline upgrades begin along North Royal Avenue. The project, handled by Green Ridge Contracting, is scheduled to start the week of May 27, 2025, and will continue through August 1, weather permitting.

The work will take place on North Royal Avenue between North Commerce Avenue and 6th Street. As crews replace and upgrade waterlines in this key stretch of town, traffic will be reduced to one lane at times. Flaggers and clear signage will help guide motorists through the area safely. In addition to daytime construction, some portions of the work may take place at night to help minimize daytime disruption.

Town officials are asking drivers to slow down, remain alert, and use extra caution when driving through the construction zone. Safety for workers and travelers alike is a top priority.

“We know road work can be frustrating, especially during the summer months,” town representatives shared in a public notice. “We appreciate the community’s patience as we make these important upgrades to the town’s water infrastructure.”

Waterline improvements like these are necessary to maintain reliable service and reduce the risk of future issues such as leaks or water pressure problems. While the work may temporarily affect traffic flow, the long-term benefit will be a stronger, more dependable water system for homes and businesses in the area.

As the project moves forward, residents are encouraged to stay informed through local announcements and the town’s official website or social media pages, where any changes to the schedule or work hours will be shared promptly.

The town apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks the community in advance for its cooperation during this essential upgrade.
