WCGLLS: Coach’s Spotlight – Ravens & Thrashers

Warren County Girl Little League’s Board of Directors is taking over the Coach’s Spotlight to honor two teams that played their hearts out this week, the Ravens sponsored by Spelunkers and the Thrashers sponsored by The Apple House.

On Tuesday May 7th both teams showed up determined to leave the field as winners. The Thrashers jumped out to an early lead with the help of Audrey Lacombe’s inside-the-park grandslam and managed to hold it through the first half, but don’t count the Ravens out. They answered right back with some hits of their own while managing to keep the Thrashers from throwing some points up on the score board through the middle of the game.

With the unflappable Breanna Taylor pitching for the Raven, the opposition had to tighten their batting gloves and prepare themselves for the inevitable battle for the win… and that’s what they did. The score may have showed a winner, but with every girl leaving it all on the field and the show both teams put on, everyone walked off the field winners.
