New Warren County Hotline for fraud, waste and abuse

Beth Waller speaks to Cheryl Cullers about a new hotline found on Warren’s website that provides an opportunity for people to provide input anonymously.
WHAT MATTERS Warren–Warren County citizens have a convenient new way to suggest an improvement, submit an idea or report a concern!
In this video, Cheryl Cullers presents a new hotline found on Warren’s website that provides an opportunity for people to provide input anonymously. Inspired by a similar hotline at the state level, Cheryl presented to the Board of Supervisors who embraced the chance to offer another way for community members to get involved.
If you have an idea to suggest, a cost savings measure to share, a concern to report a need to notify Warren County officials of anything, you are encouraged to log online 24/7 and make your voice be heard at https://www.warrencountyva.net/report-a-concern-of-fraud-waste-or-abuse
FROM WARRENCOUNTYVA.NET:
The possibility of fraud, waste, and abuse is present in any organization. The anonymous fraud report center has been created to encourage County employees and County citizens to report situations where fraud, waste, or abuse may have occurred in the local government so that it may be thoroughly investigated and, if confirmed, eliminated. If you are a County employee and you observe a situation within your own department that appears to involve fraud, waste, or abuse, please submit a report.
Why should you file a report through the Report Center?
The County strives to be a thriving community that retains its safe, scenic, friendly and inviting character with leadership that puts the community first in order to make this a place of choice in Virginia to live, prosper, raise families, and stay a lifetime. As fraud, waste, and abuse occur, those activities take away from the County fulfilling its vision.
When should you file a report concerning potential Fraud, Waste, and Abuse occurring in the County?
As soon as the citizen or employee learns of the possible fraud, waste, or abuse, it should be reported. If the employee or citizen does not feel comfortable speaking with his/her Board of Supervisors representative or the County Administrator, this is an anonymous outlet that can be used to report concerns.
What happens when possible Fraud, Waste, or Abuse is reported?
Please remember to provide as many facts as possible in the description of the report; multiple concerns should be reported separately. Once the report has been received by the County Information Officer, it will be assigned a Case Number and routed to the appropriate County department for action.
If you would like to be updated regarding the disposition of your concern, please include your email address in the form below.
