Lady Wildcats Host Skyline in Friday Night Doubleheader – January 23rd

Local hoops fans are in for a high-energy night as the Warren County High School Lady Wildcats take on Skyline High School this Friday, January 23, 2026, in a hometown doubleheader that promises both strong competition and school pride. The evening kicks off at the Warren County High School gym with the junior varsity game at 6:00 p.m., followed by the varsity matchup at 7:15 p.m.

Doors open at 5:45 p.m. for those looking to grab a good seat and catch the pre-game buzz. Both teams are deep into their seasons and looking to gain ground, making this a pivotal matchup for the Lady Wildcats as they host a familiar rival.

For fans who can’t be there in person, Wildcats Live! will once again bring the action straight to your screen. The student-run broadcast, streamed on the Royal Examiner website, offers live play-by-play, in-game stats, and post-game recaps, all produced by members of Warren County High School’s DECA chapter.

“This is a true student-led effort,” said DECA advisor Rick Gardner. “They manage the equipment, run the production, and deliver live commentary. It’s a chance for them to apply what they’ve learned in class to a real-world setting, all while supporting their peers on the court.”

The Wildcats Live! program has grown into a staple for local sports coverage, especially for families and fans who want to stay connected but can’t always attend in person. Beyond just broadcasting games, the students involved gain valuable experience in media, teamwork, and leadership.

Friday’s game is more than just another night of basketball — it’s a showcase of student talent, both in athletics and behind the scenes. With Skyline coming to town, the Wildcats are hoping for strong fan support to help give them the edge.

Whether you’re a parent, an alum, or simply someone who enjoys Friday night lights in a gym instead of on a field, this is a night to show up, cheer loudly, and support Warren County’s student-athletes and future media pros.

Don’t miss the energy, the action, and the community spirit this Friday night. The Lady Wildcats are ready — now they just need the crowd.
