Published

on

The Town of Front Royal is inviting residents to apply for a vacancy on the Local Board of Building Code Appeals (LBBCA). The position is for an unexpired term ending on November 1, 2026. This opportunity allows a dedicated community member to play an essential role in ensuring building safety and supporting local development.

The LBBCA is a five-member board appointed by the Town Council that meets as needed. Members review and hear appeals related to building regulations, aiming to maintain the safety and welfare of residents while balancing costs for rehabilitation and development projects.

Applicants must reside within Front Royal’s corporate limits and have experience in the construction industry or a related field, such as real estate, law, architecture, or engineering. This expertise ensures members can thoughtfully assess appeals and contribute to the board’s mission of fostering safe and sustainable building practices.

Interested individuals should submit an application, resume, and cover letter to Tina L. Presley, Clerk of Council, at Town Hall or via email at tpresley@frontroyalva.com. Applications can be downloaded from the Town’s website. Submissions will be accepted until the position is filled.

By joining the LBBCA, applicants commit to completing the necessary training and serving through the term’s duration. For those passionate about community safety and development, this is a chance to make a meaningful impact.
