The expanded schedule is designed to better meet community needs, reduce wait times, and improve access to essential nutrition and health services for families.
“Our WIC Program is delighted to be able to expand its schedule to provide more clinic and office services across our service area,” said Katherine Schroeder, MPH, CHES®, Population Health Manager and Public Information Officer for the Lord Fairfax Health District. “This program is essential to supporting healthy habits for pregnant and postpartum people, infants, and children up to the age of five through nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and access to healthy foods.”
