Warren County High School Brings Magic to Life with “Frozen Junior” Production
The Warren County High School’s theater department is gearing up for a spectacular rendition of “Frozen Junior.” The performances, scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m., promise an enchanting experience for the young audience and the entire community.
Todd Tennant and Ken Knesch, parents deeply involved in the theater department’s booster club, shared their excitement and the myriad of activities surrounding the play. From meet-and-greet sessions with the beloved characters of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and possibly Sven to backstage tours, the event is designed to deepen the connection between the young actors and their audience. Furthermore, an added sprinkle of magic is the princess tea party scheduled before Saturday’s show, promising an unforgettable experience for little princesses and princes, complete with Disney sing-alongs and cupcake decorating sessions.
This year marks the inception of a booster club dedicated to supporting the theater department at Warren County High School. The booster club aims to alleviate the financial burdens of production costs through fundraising efforts, such as selling themed t-shirts, raffle baskets, and managing concessions during the event. The community’s support has been overwhelming, with local businesses contributing to the cause, showcasing the town’s collective spirit in nurturing the arts among its youth.
“Frozen Junior” is not just a play; it’s a testament to the commitment of Warren County Public Schools to the arts, as highlighted by Ken Knesch, who proudly notes the district’s investment in state-of-the-art theater facilities and a full-time theater arts teacher. The school system’s dedication to the fine arts, even amidst budgetary challenges, ensures that students like Toby Tennant and Abby Knesch have a platform to pursue their passions and develop their talents in a supportive environment.
As the community anticipates the performance of “Frozen Junior,” it’s clear that the real magic lies in the collective effort of students, parents, and the community to keep the arts alive and thriving in Warren County. The enthusiasm of the parents and the support for the theater department underscore a powerful message: when a community comes together to support the arts, it nurtures not just the talents of its youth but the soul of the community itself.
