Front Royal Embarks on First Annual Garden Challenge and Tour
Published
2 years agoon
The committee, known for enhancing the community’s aesthetic appeal, invites residents to showcase their gardens in this inaugural event. Applications will be available at the Samuel Library, potentially at the downtown tourist center, and online, starting from March 11 through April 12. Following the application period, committee members will visit the gardens to discuss the tour, which is set to occur in late June or early July.
In addition to the garden challenge, the committee organizes a paint night fundraiser on April 19 at the Back Room Brewery. Combining art and community spirit, this event supports the committee’s ongoing beautification projects.
The committee’s work extends beyond events, contributing significantly to the town’s visual appeal through initiatives like the planting and maintenance of hanging baskets and planters around Front Royal. This year, they’re exploring self-watering baskets to ease the upkeep efforts, further beautifying the town with minimal maintenance.
This initiative reflects the committee’s commitment to beautify Front Royal and foster community engagement and pride. The garden challenge and tour promise to be a delightful exploration of the town’s private oases, offering a peek into its residents’ creative and nurturing endeavors.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the garden challenge, attend the paint night fundraiser, and support the committee’s efforts to make Front Royal a more beautiful place to live and visit. With the enthusiasm and dedication of volunteers and community members alike, the Beautification of Front Royal Committee is poised to make this event a resounding success.
