Warren County Wildcats Set to Face Strasburg in Home Doubleheader – December 18

Published

Basketball fans in Front Royal have another exciting evening to look forward to as Warren County High School hosts a varsity doubleheader on Monday, December 18, 2025. The Lady Wildcats will take the court first, followed by the boys varsity team, in back-to-back matchups against Strasburg High School.

The girls’ game tips off at 6:00 p.m., with the boys’ game immediately following. Both teams are looking to bring home victories in front of their home crowd and carry momentum into the winter break.

The Lady Wildcats have shown steady progress throughout the season, focusing on defense, ball movement, and strong finishes at the rim. Their teamwork and hustle have kept them competitive in tight games, and they’re looking to make a statement against the Rams from Strasburg.

Following the girls’ game, the boys’ varsity squad will take the floor in what’s expected to be a fast-paced, physical contest. The Wildcats have been sharpening their skills with up-tempo practices, strong rebounding, and aggressive defense.

Coaches for both teams are urging the community to come out and support their student-athletes.

“These kids are working hard, putting in time on the court and in the classroom,” one coach said. “A packed gym makes a huge difference—it lifts their energy and helps them play their best.”

Fans who can’t make it to the gym can still catch the action live. The school’s student-run broadcast team, Wildcats Live!, will stream both games on the Royal Examiner website, with coverage provided by Warren County DECA. The broadcast will include live updates, commentary, and post-game highlights.
