The Front Royal/Warren County Anti-Litter Council (ALC) is ushering in a new era with the election of Dave Rushton as the committee’s new President. Rushton, who moved from southern New Jersey to the Blue Ridge Mountains in 1999, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role.

For those unfamiliar with Rushton, his career as a licensed home inspector is marked by significant achievements. He has served as President of the Northern Virginia Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and the Virginia Association of Real Estate Inspectors. Additionally, he has been a board member of the Virginia Board for Lead, Asbestos, and Home Inspectors and is an active member of the Historic Building Inspectors Association.

Rushton’s volunteer work in Warren County has made a substantial impact. His commitment to anti-litter efforts has been evident for years. He has contributed to various conservation projects through the Front Royal Advisory Committee for Environmental Sustainability (ACES) and played a crucial role in planning Front Royal’s first Juneteenth Celebration, which was a tremendous success.

Outgoing President Justin Proctor expressed his enthusiasm for Rushton’s leadership. “Dave is a big step in the right direction for our local Anti-Litter Council,” Proctor said. “He’s an all-around great guy who understands how much a community has to gain from a clean landscape and watershed. And he has a lot of great ideas on how we can build more involvement and momentum across our programming.”

As the new President, Rushton aims to enhance community engagement and further the council’s mission of maintaining a clean and beautiful environment for Front Royal and Warren County. His extensive background and passion for community service are expected to bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the ALC’s initiatives.

Congratulations to Dave Rushton on his new position! The community looks forward to the positive changes and continued success under his leadership.
