Deborah A. Lawson (1957 – 2025)

Deborah A. Lawson, 67, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Kimberly Clark and Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.

Deborah was born on November 12, 1957, in Danville, Virginia, the daughter of the late William Douglas and Bernice I. Cain.

She retired after over 30 years with Marriott, where she served as a Human Resource Manager. Her pastime passions were crafting, bird-watching, and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving is her devoted husband of 50 years, Duane Lawson; two daughters, Christie Lawson (Donny Roop) and Kimberly Clark (Gary), all of Front Royal; two brothers, Michael Cain (Kathy) of Leesburg and Kevin Cain (Lora) of Reston; four grandchildren, Sierra Mallicoat (Caleb), Ethan Hunt, Carissa Thompson and Grace Clark; great-granddaughter on the way, Melody Ann Mallicoat; and her fur baby, Joey.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kelly Cain.

Pallbearers will be Michael Cain, Jason Cain, Ethan Hunt, Gary Clark, Donny Roop, and Caleb Mallicoat.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
