Ashby A. Boone, 87, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at his home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Ashby was born June 30, 1938, in Judson, West Virginia, the son of the late Robert H. and Marinda M. Boone Berkley.

He retired after many dedicated years from Avtex Fibers in Front Royal.

His family and many friends will greatly miss him.

Surviving is his devoted wife of 64 years, Jean Boone; one son, David Boone and wife Cathy of Marshall; one daughter, Dorothy Fogle and husband Ricky of Front Royal; five grandchildren, Sara Maiatico (Gerry), Zackary Fogle (Brittany), Brittany Patricio (Luis), Benjamin Fogle and Sara Stevens (Tyler); seven great-grandchildren, Joel and Ashlyn Maiatico, Lyla and John Fogle, Isabella and Amelia Patricio and Lucy Stevens; and his faithful and devoted fur baby, Maggie.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tempa Church, 2316 Mark Meador Road, Hinton, West Virginia 25951.
