The results from the June 11th Democratic primary result in the 18th District primary appears to be an emphatic endorsement of Laura Galante’s brand of politics. Laura Galante defeated Tristan Shields for the Democratic Party nomination in the 18th District House of Delegates race. She will face Republican incumbent Michael Webert in the Nov. 5 general election.

“I’m honored to be your nominee for the 18th House of Delegates district. A big thank you to Tristan Shields for offering such a gracious endorsement after a spirited campaign. Thank you to the voters of the 18th district for entrusting me with this opportunity,” commented Laura Galante on her Facebook page.

“I will keep talking to all Virginians regardless of politics or background about how we build a shared rural future,” said Laura Galante. “I’m especially proud of our volunteers who stepped up in a major way to bring home this win.”
