UVA Health Prince William Medical Center Named High Performing Hospital for Heart Attack Care by U.S. News & World Report

UVA Health Prince William Medical Center has been recognized as a High Performing Hospital for heart attack care in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals 2024-2025 rankings. This honor, awarded to fewer than 25% of evaluated hospitals, highlights the hospital’s excellence in cardiovascular care.

Erik Shannon, CEO of UVA Health’s community medical centers and clinics in Northern Virginia and Culpeper, expressed pride in this achievement, noting the hospital’s recent investments in a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab. “This award reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to delivering top-tier care,” Shannon said.

Since joining UVA Health in 2021, Prince William Medical Center has expanded its services and improved its facilities to better serve the community. These enhancements include hiring over 50 new providers, opening new specialty clinics, and upgrading critical care labs. The hospital’s dedication to excellence has earned it multiple national recognitions, underscoring its role as a vital healthcare provider in the region.
