Sara Jones, a lifelong Warren County resident and proud Warren County High School graduate, has officially entered the race for the Warren County School Board seat representing the Happy Creek District. In her announcement, Jones emphasized her deep commitment to the public school system and her goal to serve as an advocate for students, staff, and parents alike.

“I’m running for school board to strengthen the education and increase the opportunities for growth for all children of this community,” Jones said. “Our students, staff, and parents need someone to advocate for them and support their needs, and that is what I plan to do.”

Jones and her husband are raising their two sons in the same school system she attended. Both boys currently attend Warren County Public Schools. That personal connection, she says, fuels her drive to make a difference.

With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Human Resources Management from Western Governors University, Jones believes her academic and professional background equips her with the tools to help navigate the challenges facing the district. She says she is particularly focused on promoting safe and healthy environments across all schools—not only for students but also for teachers and support staff.

Her campaign slogan, “Strong Schools, Bright Futures,” reflects her belief that quality public education is essential to building a strong community.

“I want a safe and healthy environment in all of our schools,” she said. “I hope that my non-partisan views can help bridge the divide that opposing opinions have created and keep the focus on protecting and improving the public education provided to the children of Warren County.”

Jones says she’s running not as a politician but as a parent and community member determined to see local schools thrive. She believes in working collaboratively with families, teachers, and district leadership to prioritize student achievement and overall school improvement.

Jones will be on the ballot in the upcoming election and says she is eager to engage with voters in the Happy Creek District to hear their thoughts and concerns.
