[spacer height=”20px”]Front Royal was host to Challenger Sport’s British Soccer Camp last week, July 31-August 4. Kids had a great week learning from four great coaches: Dan Delahay (Wales), Adam Howells (Wales), Emmett Woods (Ireland) and Fraser Rennie (Scotland). Players learned new moves, worked on core skills and built confidence while playing scrimmage games World Cup style. Customs and cultures from North Korea, Turkey, Madagascar, Abu Dhabi, Iceland and China were researched and shared by camp team members.

Coaches got to explore Front Royal a bit while not out on the fields. Thank you to local businesses who helped welcome these young men to Virginia. They enjoyed fish and chips at Element, ice cream at C & C, a beer tour at Virginia Beer Museum, pedicures at Touche Nail Salon and caught a beautiful sunset on Skyline Drive. The Jackson family treated the coaches to a home cooked meal and an intense foosball tournament in the family rec room!

Jennifer Avery and her family hosted the coaches this year. For more information about the experience, feel free to contact her at jen@whatmattersw2.com or 540-683-0790. Great opportunity!
