NOTICE: Changes in recycling program – say goodbye to glass

Published

on

Effective immediately, the Town of Front Royal will no longer be accepting glass as part of our Recycling Curbside Collection due to having no facility that accepts glass. Our previous source sold their crushing machine; therefore, all acceptance of glass at their facility ceased. As a reminder pertaining to the Town’s Recycling Curbside Collection:

· Place items curbside before 7am or after 7 pm the night before your Recycling Day
· We accept Aluminum, Cardboard, Paper, Steel/Metal cans and Plastics (#1-#7)
· Separate by like products, i.e. plastic with plastic, cardboard with cardboard, paper with paper, etc.
· Do not mix trash with recycling items
· Rinse items thoroughly leaving no food or sticky residue
· Flatten all cardboard boxes

More detail of acceptable and unacceptable items may be found on the Town’s Website and www.frontroyalva.com or by contacting Public Works Department at 540-635-7819, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm.
