The change took effect Friday, Aug. 21, 2026.

Town officials thanked residents and businesses for reducing water use during the recent conservation period.

“The Town of Front Royal greatly appreciates your efforts and thanks you for your assistance in conserving our water resources during this recent period of voluntary water conservation,” the town said in a public notice.

Although the restrictions have been lifted, officials are still encouraging customers connected to the municipal water system to continue monitoring their water use and practice conservation when possible.
