Statewide enforcement efforts from October 7–13 resulted in the seizure of cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, and other illegal drugs.

Virginia State Police recovered five firearms and seized illegal drugs with an estimated value of more than $334,000 during a week of crime suppression operations across the Commonwealth.

The enforcement efforts, conducted October 7–13, 2026, involved Virginia State Police working alongside local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to investigate criminal activity and disrupt illegal drug operations.

According to the department’s weekly report, authorities seized drugs representing an estimated $334,673 in denied revenue to criminal organizations.

Among the largest seizures were 21.3 pounds of marijuana, 2.3 pounds of cocaine, and 1.6 pounds of fentanyl.

Troopers and participating task forces also recovered 1.1 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.2 ounces of crack cocaine, and 9 ounces of psilocybin, a hallucinogenic substance commonly associated with certain mushrooms.

In addition to the narcotics, Virginia State Police recovered five firearms during criminal drug investigations. The weapons had an estimated combined value of $2,500.

The reported seizures include drugs recovered directly by Virginia State Police, State Police task forces, federal task forces, and investigations in which troopers assisted other agencies.

The department did not provide a breakdown of individual arrests, specific recovery locations, or the number of investigations involved in the week’s operations.

The estimated $334,673 in denied revenue represents the reported value of drugs removed from illegal distribution, rather than money directly recovered by law enforcement.

State Police said the continuing operations are part of a broader effort to reduce violent crime, combat illegal drug trafficking, and strengthen public safety throughout Virginia.

The department also emphasized the importance of cooperation among law enforcement agencies in identifying criminal activity and disrupting drug distribution networks.

The operations support the governor’s statewide violent crime reduction initiatives.

Virginia State Police releases weekly summaries highlighting drug seizures, firearm recoveries, and other results from ongoing criminal investigations across the Commonwealth.
