Pauline Brown, 94, dies

Pauline Brown, the mother of Front Royal realtor Warren Brown Jr. and Elks Club secretary Jane Wine, died peacefully at the Hidden Springs rest home Saturday, Dec. 1 with her children at her side. She was 94.

Mrs. Brown lived most of her life in Front Royal, also a few years in Fredericksburg. In 1941, she was a member of the first graduating class of Warren County High School. She was predeceased by her husband, Warren Brown Sr., a well-known building contractor, in 2000.

Betty Tice of Rockland, Mrs. Brown’s sister-in-law, visited Pauline at Hidden Springs the day before she passed. She took this photo as they talked together.
