Silver Alert issued for missing woman
WINCHESTER – The Virginia State Police Department has issued a Senior Alert for a woman who may have disappeared from Winchester, Va. Authorities are looking for Catherine Hemlepp, 80. Hemlepp is 5’7” and weighs 150 pounds. She has blue eyes and brown hair, and was last seen wearing an orange vest and flowered pants.
Mrs. Hemlepp suffers from dementia, and is believed to be in danger. She was last seen on January 10, 2017 in Fairfax County, VA. She may be driving a 2017 Ford Escape, maroon in color, with Pennsylvania license plate WR967P. The vehicle has a New York FOP frame on the black plate, and a University of Kentucky plate on the front.
Mrs. Hemlepp and her husband were traveling from Pennsylvania to South Carolina on January 10th. Her husband stated that he lost track of his wife, who was driving a separate car, on Old Dominion Road in Fairfax, VA around 12:30 P.M. Around 12:00 A.M. on January 11th, contact was made with Catherine via telephone. She stated that she was staying at the Shenandoah Motel in Winchester, VA; however this hotel does not exist in Winchester City for Frederick County, VA. Hotels in the city of Winchester and Frederick County were checked with negative contact. Her cellphone has since been cut off.
