Turnmeyer Galleries unveils Breast Cancer Awareness exhibition to the public
The newly opened Turnmeyer Galleries, a boutique gift shop and fine art gallery, unveiled their first public exhibition on Sunday. A special project by owner, and professional photographer, Scott Turnmeyer on Breast Cancer Awareness. The unveiling drew in roughly 100 individuals.
For this project, Scott worked with 19 local ladies who have had, or have breast cancer. He found individuals in all stages of the disease, and took black and white portraits of each lady. The portraits are hung in the exhibition space of the gallery with the stories of each of the ladies underneath. A very powerful statement to show that this disease can affect anyone, your neighbor, your sister, your mother.
The exhibition, which is free to the public, will be up until Sunday, November 3, 2019.
You can visit Scott and Pam Turnmeyer in their new location on 300 South Street in Front Royal, Virginia. For more information, including the full list of workshops and classes, visit www.turnmeyergalleries.com, email info@turnmeyer.com or call/text them at 540-692-9550.
