MORE ABOUT BREC:

Blue Ridge Educational Center (BREC) is a local non-profit organization focused on the educational needs of Warren and the surrounding counties. Established in 2000 as a tutoring center, they have grown to become a licensed day school for students with disabilities. BREC provides a structured, yet creative and flexible learning environment where students can build the skills they need to realize their full potential.

BREC’s greatest need is community support! Their work enables others to live and participate meaningfully in the community where they reside and enriches the resources our community has to offer ~ the essence of a non-profit organization.

They are currently raising funds for: obtaining a vehicle for community-based activities, updating and creating a computer lab for students, adding sensory equipment and supplies to each classroom.

Follow them and watch them grow: www.blueridgeeducation.org

*The public is invited to an opportunity to hear April Strosnider, BREC Executive Director, speak about the organization as guest presenter at the Rotary Club of The Northern Shenandoah Valley’s meeting at OPEN HOUSE: Meet in the Middle at 213 E. Main St at 6pm this Thursday, May 16th.
