Rebecca Ann “Tootie” Gue (1957 – 2024)

Rebecca Ann “Tootie” Gue, 66, of Bentonville, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia, with Sammy Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow at Bentonville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Tootie was born on October 26, 1957, in Bentonville, Virginia, to the late Genning and Doris Smedley Weatherholt.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Raymond Gue.  She was like a mother to many, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Clyde Gue of Bentonville; son, Andrew Weatherholt (Alison Weatherholt) of Stephens City, Virginia; daughter, Priscilla Ann Jones of Front Royal; brother, Terry Weatherholt of Bentonville; best friend, Brenda Lansberry of Rileyville, Virginia; six grandchildren, Christian Gue (Leah Gue), Nicholas Gue, Jacob Gue, Brook Laing, and Hunter Jones; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Weatherholt, Christian Gue, Nicholas Gue, Jacob Gue, Casey Smith, and Joe Stoneberger.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m..
