Ole Timer’s Antiques Celebrates 25 Years on Front Royal’s Main Street
Ole Timer’s Antiques recently celebrated 25 years of business in downtown Front Royal, marking a major milestone for one of Main Street’s longtime small businesses.
Located at 220 E. Main Street, the antique shop has become a familiar stop for shoppers looking for vintage treasures, collectibles, and unique finds. Owner Barb Dumire celebrated the occasion with customers, friends, and community members during a June 13 anniversary event featuring champagne and cupcakes.

For Dumire, the achievement reflects years of dedication, faith, and strong community support.
“First of all, I give God all the credit,” Dumire said during the celebration. “Second of all, I give my landlord the credit because he’s never gone up on my rent in 25 years.”
She spoke about the challenges many small businesses face, especially in downtown areas where shops often struggle to survive in the long term.
“I’ve watched so many people come and go,” she said. “They put their life savings into a building, and they can’t make it.”
Despite those challenges, Ole Timer’s Antiques has continued to thrive, becoming a staple in Front Royal’s historic district. The shop is known not only for its antiques and collectibles, but also for the welcoming atmosphere Dumire has created over the years.
When asked what she has enjoyed most about owning the business, Dumire pointed to the relationships she has built.
“Meeting the people,” she said. “I have had so many friends.”
Visitors to the anniversary celebration enjoyed refreshments while browsing the store’s collection of antiques and vintage décor. Many stopped by to congratulate Dumire on reaching the 25-year mark and to thank her for being part of the downtown community for so long.
Community supporters described Ole Timer’s Antiques as a true Main Street fixture, known for offering unique pieces at affordable prices while helping preserve the charm of historic downtown Front Royal.

Dumire also shared a message for future customers.
“Come see me,” she said. “You’ll be my friend immediately.”
After 25 years in business, Ole Timer’s Antiques continues to serve as both a shopping destination and a gathering place, welcoming customers
like old friends.
