Town-Wide Weed Spraying Underway in Front Royal Through Oct. 6

Residents and motorists in Front Royal may notice crews working along streets throughout town as part of a town-wide weed control operation scheduled to continue through Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The Town of Front Royal said its contractor, DeAngelo Contracting, is applying weed control treatment along curbs and gutters throughout town. Work began Sept. 28 and is scheduled to take place daily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

According to the town, the spray being used is environmentally friendly and biodegradable.

Residents are asked to allow treated areas time to dry. The town said that once the spray has dried, it is harmless to people and pets.

Motorists should use caution when traveling through areas where crews are working and remain alert for workers operating near roadways.
