David E. Kidd Sr. (1950 – 2021)

David E. Kidd Sr. (N4SOR), 70. of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by loved ones.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 11 A.M. at Maddox Funeral Home 105 W Main St. Front Royal with Sammy Campbell officiating. Following the service, a procession will lead us to Andrew Chapel Cemetery for the Interment. Guests are welcome to join the family for visitation one hour prior to the service.

David was born on June 15, 1950, to the late Willie Dickie Kidd and Patricia Lee Conrad; he was also preceded in death by three siblings, Sandra McDonald, Charlotte Renee Hughes and Roger Kidd.

David was a very popular Ham Radio Operator and had many fellow operators that he called friends; one of which was like a brother to him, Mr. Walter Lee Wilson. David was an all-around enthusiast, he loved to work outside as well on his computers, he was a master carpenter, electronics extraordinaire, and if there was ever a time when he was bored, he remedied that by getting to work. He even taught himself to play guitar. Above all else, he loved his family very much.

Surviving David is his loving wife of 41 years, Cheryl Kidd; his children, David E. Kidd Jr., Amanda Ashley Kidd, Jonas Young Kidd Sr., Jeremiah Aaron Kidd (Jessica) and Kelly Brown (Jarret and their four children); his siblings, Nathan Conrad, Robert Conrad, Sean Conrad, and their families; his sister-in-law, Brenda Kidd; his grandchildren, Baylee Grace Williams, Madison Jade Williams, Jonas Young Kidd Jr.; one soon to be grandchild, Evelyn Ashton Kidd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David E. Kidd Jr., Jonas Kidd Sr., Jeremiah Kidd, Travis Price, Sean Conrad, and Jarret Brown.
