Debra “Debbie” Kay Atkins Llewellyn of Front Royal, VA, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, with her immediate family by her side.

Debbie Atkins Llewellyn

Debbie blessed this world on March 23, 1955, to the late Robert and Virginia Atkins.

She was a lifelong resident of Front Royal/ Warren County and loved her community dearly. Community involvement came second nature to Debbie, and the thought of helping others filled her heart. From Fantasyland, BRAC, St. Luke, Relay for Life, FR Jaycettes, WC Chamber of Commerce, and many others, she lived for a busy schedule that often had her running “a few minutes late”.

Her love for art and expression came in many forms. From her beautiful calligraphy writing skills to the flowers that she sculpted into art, Debbie surrounded herself with joy and beauty. As the original owner of Debbie’s Ivy Garden Flower Shop, she was able to assist others in the joys of celebration while comforting those during difficult times. The contributions she made over the years to various organizations were always a point of great pride.

Debbie would not want us to dwell on the challenges that she has endured over the past 15 years following a surgery that left her in a quadriplegic state, but rather to celebrate a life that was filled with so many positives. The involvement of her Friends, Famil,y and Faith over the years has truly shown what Debbie has always known. Find the good in any situation and love with a full heart.

She was fortunate enough to dance through the good times and navigate the difficult times with her husband and love of her life, Charlie, by her side. Debbie loved her two sons with all her heart and was blessed with many other “adopted sons” from the friends her boys would have over. She loved a full house, large meals, and the chance to rock a baby, because babies don’t keep.

Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time.

Loving survivors include her beloved husband, Charlie Llewellyn; son, Matthew, and wife Molly, grandchildren Kinley and Keaton Llewellyn; son, Michael; brother, Robbie (Vickie) Atkins; cousin and best friend, Donna Knox; brothers and sister in-laws; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private family service will be held soon, with a Celebration of Life scheduled in the fall (her favorite season) on a date that the family will announce.

Please visit the Prayer Circle for Debbie Llewellyn on Facebook.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samuels Public Library, The Humane Society of Warren County, or St. Luke Community Clinic.
