Salvation Army of Front Royal Plans Annual Dinner and Raffle Fundraiser

Published

on

The Salvation Army of Front Royal is inviting the community to gather for its Annual Dinner on Friday, April 24, at 6 p.m., in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, to raise funds to support local families and individuals in need.

The event is one of the organization’s key fundraisers of the year and helps support programs that provide food assistance, utility bill assistance, rental support, and other emergency aid to residents throughout Warren County.

Sam and Elizabeth Clark, the officers leading the Salvation Army in Front Royal, say community support is essential to maintaining these services year-round. They are joined by local volunteers and board members, including Jason Neale, who help organize fundraising efforts and assist with programs that serve residents across the county.

“Wherever there is a need in Front Royal, you’ll find The Salvation Army,” said Sam Clark.

The evening will feature a community meal with chicken and roast beef, along with opportunities for attendees to support the organization through raffles and donations.

Two Tennessee Vacation Raffles

This year’s event includes two raffle prizes offering Tennessee getaways.

One raffle will award a Great Smoky Mountains vacation package, with tickets priced at $50 each. The second prize is a Nashville vacation getaway, with raffle tickets available for $25 each.

Participants do not need to be present at the dinner to win, allowing community members who cannot attend the event to still support the cause and enter the drawings.

Organizers say the raffle prizes have been especially popular in past years, drawing strong community interest.

Supporting Local Assistance Programs

Funds raised from the dinner and raffles help the Salvation Army maintain its year-round assistance programs in Front Royal and the surrounding area.

The organization operates a local food pantry, which distributes groceries to residents facing food insecurity. The pantry distributes food on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and individuals seeking assistance are asked to bring a driver’s license and proof of Warren County residency.

Volunteers say the need for help continues throughout the year as families balance rising costs for food, rent, and utilities.

“We’re always trying to help as many people as we can,” Elizabeth Clark said, noting that funds raised locally stay within the community to support Warren County residents.

Community Support

First Baptist Church has hosted the dinner for several years, providing space in its fellowship hall for the gathering. The facility can accommodate around 180 guests, allowing supporters, volunteers, and community members to come together for the annual event.

In addition to the dinner fundraiser, the Salvation Army hosts other events throughout the year to help fund its programs, including seasonal campaigns and community meals.

Residents interested in attending the dinner, purchasing raffle tickets, or learning more about Salvation Army programs can contact the Salvation Army.
