Laurel Ridge to Host 46th Annual Spring Follies: “Back to the ’90s”

Laurel Ridge Community College will bring music, comedy, and nostalgia to the stage with the 46th Annual Spring Follies, themed “Back to the ’90s,” on April 11 and 12 at the Corron Community Development Center.

The long-running community showcase features a lively mix of performances by students, college employees, and community members, celebrating the spirit and pop culture of the 1990s.

Directed by John Owens and Russell Rinker, Spring Follies has become a beloved local tradition, drawing families and residents from across the region for a weekend of entertainment and community fun.

Performances will take place at the Carl and Emily Thompson Conference Center inside the Corron Community Development Center, located at 173 Skirmisher Lane in Middletown.

Showtimes include:

  • Saturday, April 11 – 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 12 – 2 p.m.

Families are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy pre-show activities beginning 90 minutes before each performance. The activities include games, face painting, and free ice cream, along with food available for purchase from the Cub Scouts.

Organizers say the event is designed to be a family-friendly celebration of community talent, combining humor, music, and themed performances inspired by the decade.

Tickets are $5 per person for ages 6 and older; children ages 5 and younger are admitted free.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Andrea Ludwick Performing Arts Fund, which supports performing arts opportunities and programs connected to the college.

Those interested in learning more about the event can contact John Owens at jowens@laurelridge.edu.

With nostalgic performances, interactive activities, and affordable tickets, organizers say Spring Follies remains one of the most anticipated community events of the year.

“It’s fun for the whole family,” organizers said, inviting residents to come celebrate the music and spirit of the 1990s.
