FRSA Raises Over $3,000 for Cancer Outreach with Community Support
Front Royal Soccer Association (FRSA) proudly presented a check for $3,028.25 to HELPING HANDS-Cancer Outreach during a special moment at the Front Royal Volunteer Fire Department’s weekly bingo night on Wednesday, November 28, 2024.

The funds raised through pink shirts and socks sales during FRSA’s Fall Night Games highlight the power of teamwork both on and off the field. FRSA board members Joe Sackett, Steve Smith, Amira Kaplan, Teri LeCompte, Skip LeCompte, Michelle Grigsby, and Rob DeMariano attended the event, underscoring the organization’s commitment to supporting those in need.
Brad Fletcher, Jill Johns, and Kara Grove accepted the donation for HELPING HANDS, a local cancer outreach initiative dedicated to assisting individuals and families impacted by the disease.
“This is more than just a check,” said Michelle Grigsby of FRSA. “It’s a symbol of how our community rallies together to make a difference.”
The generosity of sponsors and supporters made the fundraiser’s success possible. Bill Long’s Auto Care Clinic, a long-time FRSA partner, donated the shirts, while National Media Services, Inc. ensured they were beautifully printed.
FRSA extended heartfelt thanks to the families, businesses, and soccer enthusiasts who contributed to this impactful effort. With every pink shirt and pair of socks purchased, the community took a stand against cancer, showing the enduring strength of shared goals and goodwill.
