Humane Society of Warren County hopes to ‘Clear the Shelter’ Saturday, Aug. 19

FRONT ROYAL –The Humane Society of Warren County, along with animal shelters across the country, is teaming up with NBC and Telemundo stations to find loving homes for homeless pets on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017 According to a media release from Tori Denney, the HSWC will have fee-waived adoptions during the one-day event.
The annual Clear the Shelters event, is a nationwide pet adoption initiative. Hundreds of shelters in 20 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico will participate in the one-day adoption drive.
The goal is to #ClearTheShelters by finding forever homes for as many animals as possible. More than 53,000 pets were adopted during last year’s event, but millions more remain homeless.
