Melissa Ann “Missy” Brown (1974 – 2021)
Melissa Ann Brown, “Missy”, passed away peacefully at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray, Virginia, on November 24, 2021, at the age of 47.

Melissa Ann “Missy” Brown
Missy was born on June 29, 1974, in Winchester, Virginia to Warren Brown, Jr. and Pam Cline (Moore).
Missy attended high school at Randolph Macon Academy in Front Royal, Virginia, where she was a member of both the marching band and the basketball team. She graduated from RMA in 1992 and upon graduation, she attended High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. During her time at High Point, she was a beloved member of the Delta Gamma Chapter of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, where she made countless lifelong friendships with her sisters. She graduated in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
After graduation, Missy traveled across the United States but ultimately ended up back in her hometown where she helped many young children and their families as an In-Home Behavior Therapist at Intensive In-Home Supervision and Counseling. Missy loved so many of these families and continued relationships with them for years.
Missy was predeceased by her grandparents, Warren and Pauline Brown (Tice), John Moore II, and Stella Martin (Williams); and a sister, Angela Marie Brown.
She is survived by her father, Warren Brown, Jr. and his wife Betty; her mother, Pam Cline (Moore) and her husband George; her sister, Tina Barnes (Brown) and her husband Ryan; her nephew, Brady Grimm, and his partner Joey Parker; her niece, Abbey Grimm and her fiancé Tyler Cameron; her beloved friend and caregiver, Janice Kilby; and countless other aunts, uncles, cousins, caregivers, and friends who loved her very much.
Funeral services will be held at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, Virginia on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2 p.m., and the interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 12-2 p.m. on December 3 at Maddox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Barnes, Joey Parker, Tyler Cameron, Bobby Ford, John Moore, III, and Dana Cline.
Honorary Pallbearers will be The Delta Gamma Chapter of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, Janice Joyce Kilby, Teresa Rowland Sutton, Cory Rivenbark Getz, Tony Rivenbark, Sarah Marks, Cassie Purt-Three, and Scott Rodgers.
