Nellie Wynne Adkins (1948 – 2025)

Nellie Wynne Adkins, 76, of Middletown, Virginia, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at her home.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Mrs. Adkins was born on October 23, 1948, in Newport News, Virginia, to the late James and Cora Butts Wynne.  She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Colton Adkins.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, a former member of Shenandoah Farms Baptist Church, and formerly attended Calvary Episcopal Church.  She taught at many of the private Christian schools in the area.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Barry Adkins; daughter, Cohen Adkins (Vasily Vasilyev), and granddaughter, Diana Vasilyeva.
