New Mission, Vision and Core value statements: At the March meeting of the board of directors the following statements approved.

Mission: The Northern Virginia 4-H Educational and Conference Center’s mission is to facilitate proven experiential learning programs for youth, families, and adults that educate, inspire and connect.

Vision: The Center’s vision is to improve all aspects of the world in which we live, work and play through recreation, education, leadership, and life skill development. Our vision is put into action through the support of diverse communities, impactful stewardship and the creation of meaningful relationships with those around us, making the 4-H Center a truly sustainable organization.

Core Values: Educate, Inspire, Connect

April programs: Center program staff are getting ready educate, inspire and connect with our spring schools groups. Youth from Prince William, Arlington, Fairfax and Warren Counties will visit us this April for leadership development, zip lining, archery, canoeing and hiking programs.

Thank you and congratulations: We are so lucky to be the recipient of a Boy Scout Eagle Project that will serve the visitors at the Center for many years to come. Under the leadership and hard work of Holden Truax, an amphitheater and campfire circle was built. We wish to congratulate Holden on earning the rank of Eagle Scout. (about 5% of those enrolled in scouting achieve the rank of Eagle)

Pool season: Looking forward to a great season. We are in the process of finalizing our 2017 staff. What an honor that so many exemplary young people applied. We wish we had room on our staff for all of them. Swim lesson registrations are now open.
