Tyler Moody

A memorial service will be held for Tyler at 11 A.M. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia, with Pastor Andy Combs officiating. The family invites guests to visit one hour prior to the service.

Tyler was born on October 6, 1993, in Winchester, Virginia, to his father, Kenneth Moody, and his mother, Sharon Lauer.

Tyler is survived along with his parents by his loving wife of nine years, Taylor Moody, his children, Clara and Eleanor Moody; his step-mother, Kathy Moody; his siblings, Jay Buhl, Laura Moody, and Kati Buhl; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Tyler was an operations manager at Amazon and was known for his strong ethics and dedication. Tyler had a love for baseball and spent many years playing the game he loved, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life.

Tyler had a strong commitment to fitness, valuing discipline, strength, and perseverance, qualities he carried into every day of his life. His faith in God guided his life, and he found strength and comfort in that faith every day. Tyler lived by his favorite verse, Psalm 9:1: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

He was also a lifelong and passionate Green Bay Packers fan, proudly cheering them on in every season and sharing that enthusiasm with his daughters.

Above all else, Tyler was a devoted husband and father. He deeply loved his family and found his greatest joy in time spent with them.

Tyler lived with purpose, faith, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made via Venmo to @mootay to support Taylor, Clara, and Eleanor.
